Traffic Jam
As anticipated, traffic in resale homes and model homes is up significantly since Christmas. All agents that I have spoken to are saying that they are setting appointments with buyers and are showing homes. This is good news because traffic must increase before contracts can increase. Sellers should be on the ready button waiting for showing appointments. Buyers are often traveling through the area and stop for a break. I have personally set appointments for folks who stop in town for lunch, pick up a homes magazine and want to look at homes. While the majority of these may be tire kickers, there are plenty of people available to purchase at will once they find something they perceive is a good value.
